The Old Town Hall Tower is 70 m high and offers the most beautiful views of the historical center of Prague. The Tower was built in the 14th century and it is indeed the entire square. It was used by watchmen who monitored the town‘s environs and warned the townsfolk in case of danger.

The medieval tower clock is located on the southern side of the Old Town Hall Tower. The Prague Astronomical Clock has been for more than 600 years one of the greatest treasures of the city. The clock was first installed in 1410, making it the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest clock still operating.
